Event Summary | This course is intended for Year 6 teachers who are new to administering or coordinating end of Key Stage 2 assessments. Some more experienced teachers may also feel that it is important to update their knowledge and understanding. | ||||||
Event description | The course will cover everything a teacher new to year 6 will need to know about statutory assessment and moderation in year 6, including the statutory requirements, what can be used as evidence, moderation, administering the tests and unpicking standards in collections of writing. Learning outcomes | How will the pupils benefit? Children's learning will be accurately assessed and used to inform: • effective planning of Y6 teaching• reliable assessment of pupils' work • appropriate preparation for KS2 tests which should ensure a smooth transition for all pupils to their next stage of learning.
